Starsailor backstage at V2002, Staffordshire.

We originally met James Walsh (Walshy) after a Starsailor gig at Hull University last October, he took 5 minutes out to chat to us and was really friendly. The gig had been absolutely superb, the band sounded great and the place was rocking.

We then met the band again at the signing tent at Glastonbury, Walshy actually remembered us from the Hull gig. Again Starsailor put on a brilliant performance, even though their time slot could have been a bit better.

In August this year we went to the V2002 festival in Staffordshire, which we had V.I.P / backstage passes for. Starsailor played the main stage on the Saturday and again put on a brilliant show. Backstage we met lots of 'Stars' and met up with "Walshy" again and he took time to chat and pose for photos.

We then seemed to keep bumping into him, Big Dave and the rest of the band for the rest of the day; in the Backstage Bar, Backstage at the NME Stage, with Idlewild and Doves and he even stood with us in the V.I.P area and watched the Stereophonics . . . he really is A Good Soul.
